ACTRIS is the European Research Infrastructure for the observation of Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace gases. ACTRIS is composed of observing stations, exploratory platforms, instruments calibration centres, and a data centre. ACTRIS serves a vast community working on models and forecast systems by offering high quality data for atmospheric gases, clouds, and trace gases.

ACTRIS PPP accepted for EU funding

The ACTRIS Preparatory Phase Project, submitted on June 22, 2016, has been accepted for EU H2020 funding. ACTRIS PPP brings together a wide community of research organizations and ministries and is essential for implementing ACTRIS as a centrally coordinated integrated pan-European RI by developing an organizational, operational and strategic RI framework. 

EUROCHAMP-2020 Integrated Activity accepted for funding
02 September 2016
The Integrated Activities proposal EUROCHAMP-2020 (Integration of European Simulation Chambers for Investigating Atmospheric Processes – Towards 2020 and beyond), submitted on March 30, 2016, has been accepted for EU H2020 funding. EUROCHAMP-2020 will develop a sustainable plan to integrate the ACTRIS RI through strong involvement of national and European stakeholders.

The H2020 ACTRIS PPP proposal was submitted to the EC on June 22, 2016. ACTRIS PPP aims to bring ACTRIS to the level of organizational, operational, and strategic maturity that is required for its implementation to become a fully operational pan-European Research Infrastructure.
